Job Summary
The Export Import Compliance Specialist is responsible for processing import and export shipments ensuring compliance with CBP, ITAR, and EAR regulations. This in-office role reviews inbound/outbound shipments for regulatory compliance, determines ECCN/HTS classifications, supports export license applications, maintains trade records, collaborates with the senior trade team, conducts internal verifications of records, coordinates with logistics/legal/finance to ensure compliant supply chain, advises management on trade compliance risks, and assists with audits and remediation programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Trade Compliance
- In depth understanding of import and export regulations, ITAR, EAR and CBP
- Experience managing export licenses and reviewing export documentation for accuracy
- Familiarity with CBP regulations and the ACE system for import operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
