Job Summary
Manage the trade compliance process for manufacturing shipments by processing routine imports and exports in accordance with CBP, ITAR, and EAR regulations. Determine HTS/ECCN classifications, identify license requirements, and prepare MLA and DSP-5/73 export license applications. Maintain accurate import/export records, perform internal audit checks, and oversee USMCA imports for Maquila operations. Advise management on trade compliance risks while coordinating with logistics, legal, and shipping teams. This in-office role near NW Houston, TX, requires a U.S. Person with 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance and strong knowledge of export regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or Associate's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other export and import regulations
- Experience managing export licenses (DSP-5, DSP-73, MLA)
- HTS and export classification experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance software
- Must be a U.S. Person following ITAR regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Maquila/USMCA compliance and U.S. Customs/ACE knowledge
