Job Summary
Export Customs Compliance Analyst responsible for daily import/export operations within the Americas region, ensuring compliance with EAR/OFAC/CCP policies, classifying products, screening transactions, and guiding internal stakeholders on export control requirements. Duties include preparing and auditing export documentation (EEI, commercial invoices, packing lists, SLIs), maintaining recordkeeping, developing SOPs/POAs with brokers, monitoring KPIs, and collaborating with IT and global centers to improve data integrity and automate controls. Requires strong knowledge of trade compliance, experience with regulatory agencies (CBP, FDA, USDA), and ability to train internal teams; travel domestically/internationally up to 10%. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency or equivalent working permit is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, international business, or similar
- Minimum of 4-6 years of international trade experience with focus on international logistics and trade compliance in medical devices
- Strong knowledge of Trade Compliance principles (customs valuation, incoterms, license and permits, country of origin, HTS/ ECCN classifications, duty optimization / Free Trade Agreements, export controls and sanctions)
- Familiar with databases, ERP, global trade automation solutions, and ACE functionality
- Excellent communication and training skills
- U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or equivalent working permit
