Export Control Manager – Region Americas

Job Summary
Identify, review, and escalate business activities relevant to export control and sanctions law, implementing necessary "Block" or "Release" decisions and associated guardrails. Coordinate case assessments with expert functions and ensure seamless process implementation for U.S. regulations, including EAR applicability and "U.S. nexus." Provide advisory support on goods classification and Sanctioned Party List screening while mediating between HC business and the Corporate Department for Export Control, Sanctions & Customs. Deliver regular reports to Board Members on regulatory implementation status and support awareness and training measures. Requires full proficiency in English and Spanish, with reporting to the HC Lead ECM for functional coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Proven knowledge in the area of trade compliance, incl. export controls, sanctions, trade laws and relevant processes
- Several years of relevant professional experience in export control, customs, or trade compliance
- In-depth knowledge of international and, in particular, U.S. export control and sanctions laws (EAR, OFAC)
- Experience in analyzing and evaluating complex international business transactions
- A full professional proficiency in English and Spanish language (written and spoken)
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
