Job Summary
Export Air Operator responsible for managing and coordinating air export shipments, ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant with international regulations, and serving as the main client contact. Responsibilities include bookings and coordination with airlines and internal teams, preparation of export documentation and invoicing, maintaining strong customer relationships, and adherence to safety and regulatory procedures (Dangerous Goods, Customs, Security, and Load & Restraint). Requires 3+ years in export operations or international logistics, knowledge of export documentation and customs rules, proficiency with logistics systems, and NZ export procedures. Location: Auckland, NZ; on-site role.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years proven experience in export operations, air freight, or international logistics
- Comprehensive knowledge of export documentation requirements and customs regulations
- Proficiency with logistics management systems and cargo tracking software
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
- Problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with New Zealand export procedures and international trade compliance
- Knowledge of air freight operations and industry best practices
- Preferred: Experience with CargoWise freight system
