Job Summary
Organize event set-up by arranging tables, chairs, podiums, and sound systems per lease agreements. Serve as a facility representative to lessees and attendees, ensuring compliance and resolving concerns. Perform maintenance and upkeep of grounds, including operating tools, power equipment, and tractors. Clean public areas by mopping floors, scrubbing carpets, washing surfaces, and emptying waste cans. Restock supplies in restrooms and storage areas. Open, close, or lock doors according to event schedules and security requirements. Communicate problems, concerns, and suggestions for improvement to the Supervisor. Maintain a positive image of the Exposition Center and County Government while establishing effective working relationships with clients and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age
- 8th grade education
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relations with co-workers, supervisors, and the public
- Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds, and persons of all ages and lifestyles
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. on an frequent basis
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by Supervisor
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

- Some janitorial/custodial experience such as mopping floors, hallways and restrooms; scrubbing carpets; washing walls, tables and chairs; and emptying waste cans
