Job Summary
Canine Security Specialist responsible for Explosive Dog Detection searches and sweeps of office buildings, arenas and stadiums, conference centres, airport facilities, vehicles and aircraft. Maintains a high level of training and readiness to respond to suspicious packages or other explosives-detection scenarios; oversees the 24-hour housing and well-being of assigned detection dogs; performs security duties indoors and outdoors under varying conditions; flexible for last-minute canine service requests; daily training on explosives detection and maintenance records in compliance with federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Fully bilingual, French and English
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written & verbal communication and active listening skills
- Possess a valid Security license, Ontario Driver's License (G or Higher) with a clear driving abstract and Basic First Aid and CPR certification
- Must provide Criminal Record check upon request
- Security experience is an asset
