Job Summary
Interact with visitors of all ages to ignite transformative family learning, guide exploration, and encourage critical thinking while assisting guests as they explore mounted dinosaur displays. Provide exceptional guest service by monitoring and assisting guests, maintaining order, and running the cashier at the front desk and gift shop. Facilitate inquiry-based learning experiences, help kids gain confidence in science and STEM, and maintain a safe, clean environment. Evaluate visitor experiences using appropriate tools and methodologies while modeling curiosity to create positive, meaningful experiences. Adhere to all rules and regulations to assure safety for all guests and team members, exemplify the museum's mission, values, and policies, and accept all guests without judgment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and great customer service
- Collaborative approach to the workplace
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to work patiently in high-activity, high-energy, noisy environments
- Readily learn cash register, money handling, and facilitation best practices and skills
- Comfort with initiating conversation with strangers
- Enforcing safety procedures with kindness, energy, and acceptance
- Must pass a background check
- Must be at least 16 years old
Desired Qualifications
- Valid Utah Driver's License preferred
