Job Summary
Exploration Geologist sought for Coeur Silvertip with two-week on/off rotation at remote mine camp. Responsibilities include planning regional exploration programs, drill rig inspections and management (surface and underground), detailed structural mapping and sampling, geochemical data interpretation, accurate core logging and sampling, creating and communicating results via presentations and reports, QA/QC of logging and sampling data, pre-operational checks, equipment operation, and performing other duties within geology scope. Requires a B.Sc. in Geology/Geoscience, minimum five years of exploration experience, familiarity with Vulcan/Micromine/Leapfrog, APEGBC registration or eligibility, a valid driver's license, and physical fitness. Willingness to work a two week on/off schedule at a remote mine camp; eligible for monthly bonus. Designated marshalling locations include Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. Geology or Geoscience
- Minimum of five (5) years exploration experience
- Experience in structurally controlled deposits is asset
- Experience working underground is asset
- Knowledge of Vulcan, Micromine, Leapfrog (or similar)
- Registered or eligible for registration with APEGBC
- Valid driver's license
- Physically fit to perform the duties
