Job Summary
Expert Technical Analyst - MMIS - Medicaid Pharmacy responsible for hands-on technical analysis, SQL development, data validation, and integration support across MMIS/Medicaid Pharmacy domains. Conducts in-depth data analysis, root-cause investigations, and data reconciliation; supports data migration, interface validation (including X12 EDI like 834/837/835/820/999/277), and configuration syncs. Partners with BAs, CAs, and QA across SDLC to ensure scalable, data-driven solutions, performance tuning, and post-release validation. Provides technical design input, documentation of data flows and dependencies, and leadership in testing (SIT/UAT), deployment support, and issue remediation. Mentors junior analysts, contributes to governance forums (ARB/CCB), and supports cloud-adjacent environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud). Fully remote options from continental US locations, with a pay range of $108,500–$155,000 per year and strong benefits including vacation policy, 401(k) match, and educational assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 12+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Data Analyst, or Healthcare Systems Analyst
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, transformations, large dataset analysis, and stored procedures
- Experience supporting MMIS, Medicaid, or Medicaid Pharmacy systems
- Strong understanding of healthcare data and Medicaid domains (Member, Provider, Claims, Pharmacy, Finance, Care Management)
- Experience with data analysis, troubleshooting, and validating technical outputs
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Experience working in SDLC and Agile delivery environments
