Job Summary
Conduct foot and mobile patrols of buildings, grounds, and designated work areas to ensure safety and security. Monitor and control access at guardhouse/gate entry points while operating company vehicles. Respond to emergencies and provide CPR when required, observing and reporting suspicious activities, incidents, or safety hazards. Complete routine security inspections and documentation following established procedures and site protocols. Support 24-hour security coverage as scheduled across rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Maintain active Hawaii Guard Card and CPR readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of standard security concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong observation and situational awareness skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively during emergencies
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic report writing and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Hawaii Guard Card
- Entry-level (1–3 years) to mid-level (4–6 years) security experience
- Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Driving is required using a company vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- CPR certification or willingness to maintain CPR readiness
- 4–6 years preferred
