Job Summary
Senior Expert I / Expert II, Data Science (New Targets) based in Cambridge, MA, leads the analysis and integration of multi-modal omics datasets (spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, high-plex imaging, RNA-seq, WES/WGS) using advanced statistical, ML, and AI-driven methods to generate actionable biological insights for target discovery and prioritization. Partners with cross-functional teams to design studies supporting target identification and translational research; builds scalable, reproducible data science workflows and pipelines; ensures data quality and scientific rigor; evaluates emerging technologies including AI-assisted coding tools; communicates findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders; contributes to knowledge sharing and best practices within computational biology and data science communities. The role requires a PhD or equivalent in a quantitative field, expertise in omics data analysis, programming in R/Python, HPC/workflow experience, strong statistical and ML methods understanding, and excellent collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- PhD (or equivalent) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in analysis of complex omics datasets and at least one of: spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, or digital pathology
- Strong programming skills in R and/or Python
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and workflow management systems
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data integration methodologies
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and modern data science productivity platforms
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
