Job Summary
Oversee, administer, and manage contractual matters for railway and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with laws, standards, and client requirements. Review, interpret, and administer project contracts while providing advice to support project teams and management on contractual decision-making. Handle claims, disputes, variations, and correspondence with clients and contractors, coordinating with legal, technical, and financial teams on contract-related issues. Monitor contract performance, highlight risks with mitigation measures, and support project audits and statutory compliance reviews. Maintain documentation of all contractual communications and modifications to ensure timely obligation fulfillment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Min. 5 years' experience in handling Railway / Highway projects as Contract Manager in either a PMC or Construction Agency
- Min. 3 years' experience in Railways as SSE/Works (I/C) and above in Open Line/Construction
- Min. 4 years' experience as Manager or above in Railway PSU in Contracts Division
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering
- LLB from a recognized institute
- Strong knowledge of contract laws, FIDIC, and government procurement guidelines
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and correspondence management
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
