Job Summary
Experiential Learning Specialist designs, implements, and evaluates outreach and experiential learning activities that connect students with community-based practice. The role cultivates and sustains external partnerships, supports program administration, and strengthens reciprocal relationships between the university and the local community. Responsibilities span teaching of for-credit experiential learning coursework, coordinating field placements, facilitating and evaluating experiential learning activities, and managing external relationships and dissemination materials. The position emphasizes partnership development, curriculum enhancement, and serving as a liaison among students, faculty, staff, and community sites. Compensation is $60,000 and includes responsibilities across curriculum development, collaboration with partners, and program administration within UW–Milwaukee’s Zilber College of Public Health.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public health, education, student affairs, higher education administration, or a closely related field by start date
- Experience coordinating or supporting experiential learning, internships, practica, or community-based programs
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners
