Job Summary

Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with community partners to source experiential education opportunities that support faculty curriculum goals. Provide nuanced messaging to partners and students, then meet with internal and external stakeholders to determine expectations and build relationships across campus functions. Collaborate with peers, department chairs, and curriculum committees to design short- and long-term plans, revise teaching strategies, and develop critical path planning for courses. Create and maintain a database of local, national, and international EE opportunities while assisting in assessment processes to monitor community relationships and student experiences. Support communications efforts to promote EE activities and successes, ensuring synergies between initiatives throughout the University.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Relevant professional experience, including work in the field of experiential education, sales and/or relationship management
  • Superior knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of experiential learning
  • Strong understanding of the pedagogy and practice of experiential education, including learning outcomes and assessment
  • Proven ability to build long-term relationships in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Knowledge of the educational process and courses/programs offered at Brock
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of local community organizations, public agencies and the private sector
  • High level of professionalism when working with community partners
  • Advanced communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and professional public speaking/presentation ability
  • Ability to work well independently and as a contributing member of a team that shares best practices and collaborates to find efficiencies and synergies
  • Strong judgement, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess a situation and take appropriate action
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to be innovative, flexible, and adaptable
  • As a student-centered organization, all employees are required to work on campus as needed
