Job Summary
Weld and inspect components per customer specs; perform multi-pass welding and assemble parts per blueprints; pass welding certifications on requested procedures; perform UT and RT weld joint inspections; maintain 99% quality yield when fully trained; work in a warehouse/fabrication shop with exposure to heat, dust, and loud noises; read blueprints and record measurements in quality software; operate tools and safety equipment; collaborate with team to ensure quality and timely production.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of on-the-job welding experience
- Must pass weld assessment test
- Ability to weld all metals and any combination of metals
- Ability to select and use correct wire for metals
- Ability to repair parts that fail inspection
- Ability to weld product not fixtured and located on positioners
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand measurements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Safety-focused and able to adhere to PPE requirements
