Job Summary
Contribute to the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities for public and industrial clients, supporting applications including municipal, industrial, groundwater, stormwater, and landfill leachate projects. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated solutions, preparing process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) in accordance with ISA standards and industry best practices. Perform engineering analyses, including planning, feasibility studies, hydraulic evaluations, and equipment sizing and selection, while developing design drawings and specifications for treatment systems. Support occasional fieldwork and construction-phase services, including site visits, system start-ups, and commissioning activities. Prepare technical reports, memoranda, plans, specifications, letters, and proposals to support project delivery and business development. Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental)
- At least 7 years of experience in the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, and conveyance projects
- Experience preparing engineering design packages (including calculations, technical specifications, and design drawings) for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in the same
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or progress toward licensure
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination involving process, civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls design
- Experience with treatment process evaluation, hydraulic analysis, and equipment sizing and selection for municipal or industrial water and wastewater systems
- Demonstrated ability to support projects through multiple phases of delivery, including planning, preliminary and detailed designs, permitting support, and construction-phase services
- Strong technical writing, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team across the water practice
