Job Summary
Batch and transfer green coffee from the warehouse mezzanine to the roasting facility according to production needs. Accurately document lot codes, item numbers, and pounds used while verifying quantities and ensuring proper coding. Maintain full accountability for all coffee sent to production and adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety policies. Keep the work area clean, sanitary, and organized, storing supplies in designated locations. Ensure all green coffee meets company standards prior to release and immediately report any safety, food safety, or quality concerns to a Supervisor. Perform other related tasks as assigned to support production goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pull/drag a minimum of 132 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to meet strict production timelines
- Must be able to perform physical, repetitive work safely
- Must be able to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Must be able to ensure proper item/lot coding
- Must be able to maintain accountability for all green coffee sent to the roaster
- Must be able to keep the work area clean, sanitary, and organized
- Must be able to store supplies in designated locations
- Must be able to ensure all green coffee meets company standards prior to release to production
- Must be able to immediately report employee safety, food safety, and/or quality concerns to a Supervisor/Manager
- Must be able to perform other related tasks as assigned to support production goals
- Must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Must be able to demonstrate good communication
- Must be able to demonstrate team-oriented behavior
- Must be able to demonstrate dependability
- Must be able to demonstrate safety focus
- Must be able to demonstrate integrity and ownership of work quality
- Must be available for graveyard shifts (Sunday–Thursday | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Must be able to work in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures
- Must be able to work on the mezzanine and around active production areas
- Must be able to follow food safety, quality, and GMP standards at all times
