Job Summary
Provide high-quality consecutive interpretation via secure Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) platforms between English and American Sign Language in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings. Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, and GLBA while establishing positive interactions with patients, customers, and healthcare providers. Ensure a professional, well-lit, and distraction-free visual background during all remote sessions. Submit an updated resume and complete a drug test, background check, and security screen. Maintain a dedicated, quiet workspace with a locked door to ensure absolute privacy. Hold U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status and reside in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must reside in the United States
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status (Green Card)
- Access to a reliable, high-speed, wired internet connection (Ethernet preferred)
- A professional computer setup equipped with a high-definition webcam
- Appropriate lighting and a solid-colored, professional background
- A dedicated, quiet, and secure workspace with a locked door
- Successful completion of a drug test
- Background Check & Security Screen
- A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of interpreting experience
- prior VRI experience
- Knowledge of Kreato Global's evaluation process conforming to interpreting standards defined by NCIHC, IMIA, and CHIA
- National or State ASL Certification (e.g., RID, BEI)
