Job Summary
Interview pet owners to obtain patient history, take vital signs, acquire blood samples, and place IV catheters. Assist the veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, administer medications, and provide at-home dosage instructions. Monitor animals after surgery, keep accurate patient records, and handle animal restraint. Communicate with clients about treatment plans and medical results with compassion while collaborating with the entire hospital team. Work in a brand new facility featuring state-of-the-art technology, including digital radiography, in-house laboratory equipment, and laser therapy. Full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week including weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Veterinary Technician experience
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician minimum 3 years
- Strong knowledge of animal care, vaccines, medications, and safe handling techniques
- Knowledge of animal care vaccines, medicine, and handling
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
- Patience and a love for animals
- This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week and includes weekend shifts
