Job Summary
Experienced Veterinary Assistant/Pharmacy Tech duties at Inwood Animal Clinic in NYC: safely restrain dogs and cats, assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments, support the pharmacy team by preparing and filling medications, maintain inventory, ensure prescriptions are labeled and ready for client pickup, keep the clinic organized and clean, be dependable, and assist with additional tasks as needed. Strong client communication, attention to detail with medications, and ability to educate clients on basic pet care. Part-time or full-time position; pay $18–$24/hour based on experience; includes comprehensive benefits and ongoing education opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with animals in a veterinary setting preferred (1–2 years ideal).
- Ideally enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program.
- Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments.
