Job Summary
Conduct animal restraint, triage incoming patients, collect and analyze lab samples, and perform diagnostic imaging. Manage nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases with varying stability, administer medications, and assist with surgical preparation and anesthetic management. Communicate treatment plans effectively with clients while maintaining a calm demeanor despite unpleasant odors, noises, or exposure to animal waste and contagious diseases. Requires evening and weekend shift availability with a minimum of one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience
- Must be able to properly restrain pets
- Evening and weekend shift availability
- Compassionate and calm team player
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring
