Job Summary
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, repairing or rebuilding major components including cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, and air systems. Maintain and repair equipment to maximize customer uptime while working alongside highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop. Perform daily diagnostic imaging coverage, identifying the best solutions to restore trucks to peak performance. Work Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to midnight.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks
- experience with engine repair
- experience with electronic trouble-shooting
- experience with HVAC systems
- experience with chassis repair
- mechanical aptitude
- mechanical background
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must provide own tools
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to work under little or no supervision
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills
Desired Qualifications
- Kenworth Essentials certifications
- Cummins and MX software experience
- Diesel tech degree
