Job Summary
Experienced Transmission Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing transmission systems across various vehicle makes/models, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting, using diagnostic tools, following manufacturer specifications and safety procedures, and documenting procedures while communicating findings to service advisors. Must maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to a collaborative, family-oriented dealership environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Transmission Technician or similar role
- GM experience is a plus
- ASE Certification is a plus
- Strong knowledge of transmission systems and automotive repair techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Certification is a plus
- GM experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of transmission systems
