Job Summary
Independently operate a surface grinder to sharpen steel punches and dies, while performing machining, drilling, CNC operations, and programming with minimal supervision. Build, modify, and complete molds using drills, mills, saws, lathes, and CNC equipment, and troubleshoot tooling and machining issues to recommend solutions. Collaborate with engineering, tooling, and production teams to support manufacturing needs, maintain machines and work areas following 5S and safety standards, and mentor less experienced team members. This role supports advanced tooling and mold-building operations for highly customized, low volume, high-variety jobs within a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in machining, tool & die, mold making, or die making
- Experience operating surface grinders and CNC equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tooling drawings
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience preferred
