Job Summary
Conduct commercial title searches by verifying, reviewing, and compiling information from real estate land, tax records, GIS mapping, and judgment searches. Prepare title research reports using proprietary software, combining them with supporting documents to reflect ownership chains and title matters for customer delivery. Document the scope of each search and verify legal descriptions for accuracy. Review existing title reports and maintain daily production levels and delivery standards. Light travel to local county courthouses is required for document retrieval. This role supports IST's title research operations with a focus on accuracy and efficient multi-tasking.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Several years title searching experience
- Computer proficient, with standard MS Office skills
- Exceptional investigative and research skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of industry terminology, search procedures and resources
- Reliable transportation for document retrieval when necessary
- Light travel to local county courthouses is required for timely retrieval of documents
