Conduct commercial title searches by verifying, reviewing, and compiling information from real estate land, tax records, GIS, and tax mapping. Prepare title research reports using proprietary software, documenting the ownership chain and matters affecting property title while delivering documents to customers. Review title reports and verify legal descriptions for accuracy. Maintain daily production levels and delivery standards, utilizing reliable transportation for light travel to local county courthouses to retrieve documents. Requires several years of title searching experience, proficiency in mapping metes and bounds, and exceptional investigative skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Several years title searching experience
- Computer proficient, with standard MS Office skills
- Exceptional investigative and research skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of industry terminology, search procedures and resources
- Reliable transportation for document retrieval when necessary
- Light travel to local county courthouses is required for timely retrieval of documents
