Job Summary
Conduct face-to-face tax interviews and prepare accurate multiyear, multistate tax forms for clients, including IRS audit support. Complete E-filing, provide printed return copies, and process client payments while ensuring timely deposits. Answer client calls via the national routing system, address tax questions, and offer future tax planning. Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Mentor teammates and support office priorities through collaboration. This role offers flexible schedules including day, night, and weekend shifts with opportunities for advancement and performance-based bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ seasons of previous tax experience
- Experience completing individual, trust, &/or partnership tax returns
- Passion for providing extraordinary customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- PTIN Certification: Yes
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Field Instructor, Remote Support, or Call Center certification a plus
- Tax planning and audit support experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field a plus
- CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus
