Job Summary
Experienced Structures Mechanic for Boeing’s B-52 program in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities include close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical aircraft structures; read engineering drawings, technical orders, and retrofit requirements; perform depot-level modifications and repairs using structure hand tools and inspection/test equipment; maintain certifications and licenses as required; operate in hazardous environments with Lock Out/Tag systems; 100% onsite with US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance; shift flexibility and safety compliance. Requires 10+ years in heavy, non-porous metal structures (aluminum, titanium, stainless) and experience with depot/heavy structures maintenance, with ability to work with various tools and follow detailed modification processes.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with non-porous metals (aluminum, titanium, stainless)
- 10+ years with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, SOPs
- 10+ years using structures hand tools (drills 45 and 90 degrees, pancake adapters, counter sink cages, hole finders, rivet guns)
- 10+ years working heavy structures (locating, drilling, countersinking, fastening) on aircraft
- ability to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends, holidays
- pass an assessment during training cycle
- ability to obtain US Security Clearance (Secret)
- US Citizenship
