Job Summary
Provide consecutive medical interpretation in English and Spanish for a 100% remote LATAM team, with initial focus on OPI and a pathway to VRI. Responsibilities include interpreting in medical settings and facilitating communication in social services and financial contexts. Must maintain HIPAA-compliant workflows, have a hardwired internet connection, a noise-canceling USB headset, Windows 10+ with 4GB RAM, and use Chrome/Safari/Edge in a HIPAA-compliant workspace. Requires professional medical interpretation experience (6 months–1 year), C1 English, and up-to-date medical interpretation certifications (e.g., ALTA, LanguageStat). Compliance with HIPAA and FWA is mandatory, plus successful background check. Required Qualifications
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year minimum of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.
- English Proficiency: Minimum C1 fluency.
- Medical Interpretation Certification: Proof of medical interpreter knowledge within last 12 months (ALTA 9+, LanguageStat 75-80%).
- Compliance: HIPAA and FWA certifications.
- Background Check: Willingness to complete standard background check.
