Job Summary
Design and develop scalable Java or Python systems while executing software solutions, troubleshooting, and maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Create secure, high-quality production code and contribute to architecture and design artifacts, ensuring constraints are met. Gather, analyze, and synthesize visualizations from large datasets to drive continuous improvement, identifying hidden patterns to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture. Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve delivery speed and code quality, validating outputs through peer review and automated testing. Participate in agile teams to deliver trusted market-leading technology products, including mobile features, trading systems, and cloud platform integrations. Contribute to software engineering communities and uphold a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in Java or Python languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

- For the Software Engineer II level, the role requires the ability to understand advance features of a coding language, design a viable system, and solve functional problems through basic language applications
- For the Software Engineer III level, the role requires the ability to use and explain advance features of a coding language, design systems across technologies and platforms, solve functional and non-functional problems through an application of language best practices, assess issues broadly, identify alternative or innovative solutions, collaborate effectively, and provide guidance to others
