Job Summary
Experienced Software Engineer role at JPMorganChase within Global Technology. Responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure software solutions using Java or Python across potentially mobile, data, payments, or cloud-focused domains. Duties include coding, debugging, and production support; contributing to architecture and design artifacts; deriving insights from large data sets to improve software and systems; advancing coding hygiene and system architecture; and participating in communities of practice to explore new technologies, while fostering an inclusive team culture. Location is Houston, TX; role is full-time and in-person. Authorized to work in the United States with no immigration sponsorship provided.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in Java or Python languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
