Job Summary
Monitor CCTV, alarm, and access control systems from the Security Operations Center while managing multiple simultaneous alerts in a high-pressure environment. Dispatch officers and coordinate response to alarms, incidents, or emergencies across client sites, including distress calls involving fire, injuries, or unauthorized persons. Respond by contacting police, fire departments, and local emergency response teams as needed. Prepare clear, concise, and accurate incident reports and shift logs using SOC monitoring platforms and incident reporting software. Operate security software systems, email, and access control tools with strong radio and telephone communication skills. Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Valid FL Security D License
- Valid FL Driver's License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
- Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
- Comfort working extended monitoring shifts, including overnight hours
Desired Qualifications
- Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
