Job Summary
Perform all preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls while conducting DOT inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance. Utilize diagnostic platforms including J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems, covering intermediate to advanced engine, emissions, drivetrain, wheel-end, air system, steering, suspension, electrical, and HVAC repairs. Complete work orders accurately, document labor and parts, maintain shop cleanliness, and ensure tools and service vehicles are safe. Provide friendly customer service and adhere to all safety policies and OSHA requirements. Requires ASE certifications, valid driver's license, ability to work nights and weekends, and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Air Brake Certification
- DOT Medical Card
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Ability to attend and successfully complete HVAC, Electrical, and DOT training
- Ability to obtain required ASE, DOT, and other certifications
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call schedules as needed
- Reliable transportation and phone
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (as applicable)
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members and deliver excellent customer service
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Ability to work in shop and roadside environments under varying conditions
- Physical attendance at the primary work location
