Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls while conducting DOT inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance. Utilize diagnostic platforms like J-Pro and FleetCross to diagnose engine, drivetrain, emissions, electrical, and HVAC systems, completing work orders with accurate documentation. Execute intermediate to advanced repairs on cooling, fuel, turbo, clutch, differential, wheel-end, air brake, steering, suspension, and electrical components. Maintain shop cleanliness, tool safety, and equipment condition while adhering to OSHA standards and LMS training requirements. Provide professional customer service and assist with assigned duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Air Brake Certification
- DOT Medical Card
- Valid driver's license
- Insurable driving record
- Ability to attend and successfully complete HVAC, Electrical, and DOT training
- Ability to obtain required ASE, DOT, and other certifications
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call schedules as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Phone
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Ability to work in shop and roadside environments under varying conditions
- Physical attendance at the primary work location
