Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls while conducting DOT inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance. Diagnose and repair engine, emissions, drivetrain, wheel-end, air brake, steering, suspension, electrical, and HVAC systems using J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software. Complete work orders accurately, document labor and parts, and maintain shop cleanliness and tool safety. Provide professional customer service and adhere to all OSHA policies. Requires ASE certifications in diesel, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC, plus Air Brake and DOT Medical Card. On-call rotation and weekend/holiday shifts are required.
Required Qualifications
- Air Brake Certification
- DOT Medical Card
- Valid driver's license
- Insurable driving record
- Ability to attend and successfully complete HVAC, Electrical, and DOT training
- Ability to obtain required ASE, DOT, and other certifications
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call schedules as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Phone
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Ability to work in shop and roadside environments under varying conditions
- Physical attendance at the primary work location
