Job Summary
Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and verifying documentation against pick lists for hazardous goods and chemical materials. Generate shipping records including bills of lading and certificates of conformance while ensuring compliance with IATA, DOT, and 49 CFR regulations. Operate SAP/EWM shipping modules to create shipments and print labels, maintaining an organized area that adheres to safety and FOD prevention standards. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce errors and improve cycle times. This role requires 3+ years of shipping experience, physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and fluency in English. A "US Person" status is required for export control compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of related work experience in shipping operations, warehouse outbound functions, or related logistics roles
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs with assistance or equipment, per company policy
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English
- Ability to read and interpret DGIS, packing lists, routing instructions, and shipping paperwork
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Must meet Export Control compliance requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with standard PC applications, such as email and spreadsheets
- Experience with SAP/EWM-ERP shipping modules
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and labeling
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of hazmat packing, labeling, and shipping
