Job Summary
Execute sales and purchase (S&P) transactions for VLCC tonnage with precision and professionalism. Conduct tanker brokering activities within the oil & gas industry, actively marketing vessels to charterers and managing cargo interests. Develop, nurture, and solidify relationships with shipowners, charterers, and key industry stakeholders to facilitate business development. Present the company’s capabilities to prospective clients and negotiate favorable commercial terms for contracts. Drive new business initiatives, expanding the client portfolio through diligent market outreach and strategic negotiations. Maintain and regularly update the client database and stay informed about market intelligence to support decision-making. Monitor market trends, freight rates, and competitive activity to adapt strategies proactively and sustain a competitive edge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DPP Ship Broker, with strong exposure to VLCC markets highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in client management, business development, and revenue generation.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a robust client network and deliver high-value deals.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate independently, manage multiple deals simultaneously, and adapt to dynamic market conditions.
