Job Summary
Lead the second shift team in executing sheet metal fabrication tasks efficiently, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Operate shearing equipment, press brakes, and laser or CNC routers to cut, fold, and shape metal per design requirements. Conduct regular quality inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and document results while maintaining strict safety protocols. Train and mentor team members on fabrication techniques and safety procedures. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes. Requires minimum five years of experience and strong leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Second Shift Lead Fabricator
- 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Shearing: Ability to operate shearing equipment to cut sheet metal to specified dimensions
- Folding: Proficiency in folding techniques to create bends in sheet metal as per design requirements
- Press Brake Operation: Experience in setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal
- Quality Control: Ensure material and dimensional accuracy according to specifications, with meticulous documentation
- Safety: Adherence to strict safety protocols and practices in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and management
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
