Job Summary
Inspect, service, and prepare new and used vehicles according to factory and dealership standards. Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency, test-drive vehicles using diagnostic tools, and communicate directly with the Service Advisor regarding additional service needs and time estimates. Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications while maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of current models. Comply with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs.
Required Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of service technician experience
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
- Clean driving record/ valid CA drivers license
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Must be able to pass background screening (incl. criminal background check, review of motor vehicle records, verification of SSN and passing drug test at a certified testing facility)
Desired Qualifications
- ASE certifications are ideal
- Strong automotive background
- Strong teamwork skills
- OEM certifications
- Technical or trade school degree preferred
