Job Summary
Automotive Service Dispatcher needed to manage workflow in a busy Service Department. Responsibilities include allocating repair orders to technicians based on skills and availability, monitoring Work in Progress (WIP), coordinating with Parts to minimize delays, maintaining clear communication with Service Advisors, reviewing documentation and punch times, prioritizing quality to reduce comebacks, managing vehicle movement on the lot, and handling warranty administration and claims—verifying coverage, managing denials, and ensuring proper disposal of warranty parts while staying compliant with recalls and technical guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of automotive dealership or repair shop experience (Service Advisor, Dispatcher, or Technician roles preferred)
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, technical skill sets, and service operations
- Proficiency with basic office software and dealership management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multitask, and a calm, customer-focused demeanor under pressure
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test)
