Experienced Service Advisor

Experienced Automotive Service Advisor acts as the primary liaison between customers and the service department, coordinating with technicians to translate vehicle needs into understandable terms, present service estimates, obtain approvals, and guide customers through the repair process. Responsibilities include greeting customers, documenting service requests, communicating with technicians for necessary repairs and timing, scheduling appointments, providing updates, presenting invoices, handling payments, promoting dealership specials, upselling when appropriate, maintaining accurate records, building long-term customer relationships, and ensuring a smooth workflow in a fast-paced shop. Requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; high school diploma or equivalent; automotive knowledge or willingness to learn; experience in service-adjacent roles; proficiency with service management software and basic computer applications; and the ability to explain technical information clearly in a customer-friendly manner.
