Job Summary
Oversee full-cycle general accounting for small to mid-size organizations, including GL reconciliations, creating and processing bill payments and client invoices, payroll processing, and other entries; prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and perform basic financial statement analysis; develop budgets/forecasts, communicate variances, and outline engagement economics for client delivery; collaborate with clients to gather information, draft reports, and support audit preparation and tax planning considerations; apply AAO methodologies and leverage software tools (QBO, NAV, Bill.com, Excel) to manage workflow and deliver high-quality work; travel up to 20% and guide team members on project priorities and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance OR six (6) or more years performing general accounting transactions and functions without a Bachelor’s degree, required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, NAV, Bill.com)
- Experience with GAAP and general ledger processes
- Ability to prepare financial statements, budgets/forecasts, and analytical reports
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
- CPA certification pursued or obtained (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Client-facing advisory/consultative experience (preferred)
