Job Summary
Experienced Security Service Technician responsible for diagnosing and service/repair of card access, CCTV, burglar alarm, and fire alarm systems at customer sites. Performs troubleshooting, reads blueprints and manuals, communicates with customers, completes service acknowledgments, on-call emergencies, and provides quotes with upsell opportunities. Requires physical ability to handle equipment up to 50-70 lbs, travel and weekend work, valid driver’s license, background/drug checks, and adherence to safety standards; NICET certifications preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years documented experience with Security Solutions, including Card Access, Intrusion, and CCTV
- Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV
- Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices
- Fire alarm experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends; Overnight travel may be required
- Demonstrate high level of customer service
- Maintain truck inventory
- Pass pre-employment background and drug test
- Possess valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
- Retain any licenses required by National, State and Local codes
- Knowledge of NFPA standards
- NICET Certifications preferred
