Job Summary
Experienced RV Service Technician responsible for leading complex diagnostics and repairs across RV systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, chassis), mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring high workmanship standards. Responsibilities include inspecting units, learning and executing Get Ready and customer orientation, installing aftermarket accessories (solar panels, satellite systems, leveling jacks, hitches, awnings), completing pre-delivery inspections, maintaining service records and parts usage, providing on-the-job training, and upholding safety and dealership standards. Requires 4+ years RV repair experience, RVTI certification, ability to lead a team, personal tools, physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs, and willingness to work Saturdays; location is Piedmont, SD, onsite at Bish’s RV with on-site remote option.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on RV repair or related mechanical/electrical experience
- Strong working knowledge of RV systems, components, and repair procedures
- RVTI certification
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader
- Have a set of personal tools
- The ability to stand, stoop, crawl, and bend for long periods of time
- The ability to lift anywhere from 25 to 50 lbs with an assistive device
- Work in environments that include heat, cold, dust, and loud noises
- Flexibility with work schedules; including Saturdays
