Experienced RN - Registered Nurse - Oncology Infusion Clinic - Days

Job Summary
Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products while obtaining and monitoring physiological data for patients in the oncology infusion clinic. Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, document patient responses to interventions, and resolve complaints in accordance with policy. Deliver safe, competent patient care from admission through discharge, including informing families of procedures and making referrals to appropriate personnel. Rotate weekends on 10-hour shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., four times weekly. This role is available at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahoma's top-ranked cancer facility, where the team leads innovation in medical care and research.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse License (RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact Registered Nurse (eNLC))
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification
- 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse
- 3-5 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse
- 5+ years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Knowledge of basic professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques
- Ability to maintain civility and good working relationships with other employees
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Skilled in computer applications designed to ensure quality and safety measures for patients
- Ability to establish and maintain integrity and trust with patients by advocating in the patient's best interest
- Ability to engage and manage conflicts and disagreements in a constructive manner
- Ability to maintain compliance accreditation with local, state, and federal regulatory standards
- Strong written and oral communication skills characterized by candor, openness, integrity, and ability to be diplomatic
- Full-Time, Days (10-hr shifts; 4 shifts/week)
- 7:30a-6p, rotating weekends
