Job Summary
Experienced RN in OB Emergency Department responsible for direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, triaging patients, administering prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol, assessing and coordinating discharge needs, and educating patients and families. Requires shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with on-call and every other weekend/holiday rotation; unit focuses on rapid, appropriate care for obstetric emergencies in a Magnet Hospital setting. Relocation assistance may be available; RN with ADN/BSN and acute care/L&D experience is ideal, with BLS/ACLS certifications required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience
- Labor & Delivery experience
