Experienced Railcar Repair Technician

Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, weld, cut, and gouge using basic mechanical skills. Notify supervisors of any materials or equipment needed to ensure task completion while maintaining a clean work area. Adhere to all safety rules, ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies, and quality assurance standards for AAR, ARS, and customers. Complete any other duties as assigned. Full-time day shift employment Monday through Friday with some weekend requirements. Valid driver's license or TWIC card may be required.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
