Job Summary
Operate offset, digital, flexographic, or screen-printing presses: set up presses (install plates, adjust rollers, mix inks, calibrate color); run presses according to job specs; perform quality control of color accuracy, registration, and clarity; conduct routine maintenance; troubleshoot defects (streaks, smudges, misalignment, ink imbalance); handle materials (paper, substrates, ink), monitor supplies, and coordinate with inventory; document production logs and maintenance records; follow OSHA and company safety protocols. Requires mechanical aptitude, color theory knowledge (CMYK/Pantone), strong attention to detail, ability to stand for long periods and lift 40–60 lbs, and 2+ years of press operator experience; HS diploma or GED and ability to read job tickets and operate multiple printing technologies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and experience
- 2+ years of printing press operator experience
- Experience with offset, digital, flexo, or screen-printing equipment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Color theory knowledge (CMYK, Pantone)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40–60 lbs
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets
- Ability to troubleshoot production equipment
- Ability to safely operate finishing equipment and related tools
