Job Summary
Operate and oversee multiple digital printing machines, transfer presses, and RIP stations while managing ink products and file transfers. Run four printers with varying capacities, load materials, and adjust equipment settings including speed, temperature, and pressure tolerances. Troubleshoot issues like ink dropout and read strikes, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment as needed. Inspect printed products for clarity, color accuracy, and conformance to specifications, making quick corrections to avoid material loss. Requisition supplies, conduct inventory of ink and boards, and transport finished goods using hand trucks or lifts. Requires standing for extended shifts with occasional lifting up to 70 pounds in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to dust and fumes. Proficiency in Caldera, Profiling, and Fiery programs is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, able to communicate effectively
- Ability to multi-task various projects with high level of detail
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Two years relevant experience in print operations focused on the use of digital printing machines, both large and small format
- Ability to frequently lift/move up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to work extended hours to meet project deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Caldera, Profiling and Fiery programs preferred
